By Car: From the South, North or East! Aim for the A82. Eight miles south of Fort William, or five miles north of Ballachulish, you’ll come to the Corran Ferry. Take the short journey over the Corran Narrows, and on leaving the ferry bear left onto the A861. Follow this road, ignoring any turnings off it, and after 20 minutes or so you’ll find yourself driving into Strontian. Keep on the main road through the village. When you come to the stone bridge, cross it, then turn right, signposted Bellsgrove and Polloch. After a mile, you’ll see our sign on the left. Turn up the track, and we’re the first, and only, house on the right. See comments below about using Satnav.
By Car: From the West If you’ve found your way to Salen, Acharacle or beyond, aim east for Strontian along the A861. You’ll pass the turning for the Ben View hotel, and a mile later come into the 30mph zone. Immediately before the stone bridge, turn left, signposted Bellsgrove and Polloch. After a mile, you’ll see our sign on the left. Turn up the track, and we’re the first, and only, house on the right. See comments below about using Satnav.
By Train The rail trip from Glasgow is absolutely stunning. The nearest railway station is Fort William; see below for how to get closer than that!
By Bus Citylink and other services regularly travel the A82. Make sure you get off at the Corran Ferry, unless you’re using a local bus which will bring you as far as the village. Use this link to plan your route, and let us know as we’ll probably be able to arrange a lift if you’re stuck.
SatNav - a word of warning! By all means use a satnav to get you to Strontian, but most of the village is covered by the same postcode, and you may find yourself outside the school or the fire station! Once you’re approaching the village, we’d really recommend you then refer to the instructions above.

At this scale, Google maps puts Acharacle in the wrong place, and spells it incorrectly! Where it says “Archaracle”, read “Strontian”!
